GTA 'inspired petrol bombers'
THREE teenagers arrested in America for a spate of car bombings have said they learned the skills they used playing the controversial computer game Grand Theft Auto IV.
The three youngsters, aged 15 and 16, were arrested over the weekend in Milton, Atlanta, after a series of car bombings were reported to police.
The youths allegedly used Molotov cocktails to start six vehicle fires in the space of four hours.
They reportedly told authorities that they had learned how to make the bombs from playing the controversial game, designed by Edinburgh-based Rockstar North.
The reports follow the arrest last week of a teenager in Thailand on suspicion of murdering a taxi driver.
After claiming to have been inspired by GTA, the game was pulled from shelves in Thailand.
The game, which carries an 18 age rating in the UK, sold 3.6 million copies on its first day and earned more than 150 million.
