Group aims for net gains

A CAMPAIGN against internet surveillance and censorship is coming to the Capital.

The Open Rights Group is to run a training session in Edinburgh that will teach participants about new legislation and government initiatives they say will curb internet freedom.

Leaders of the group said the session will focus on the recently announced Communications Data Bill and government moves to introduce default blocks on websites containing adult content.

The event will offer participants background information and practical training on how to discuss the issues with MPs.

The Edinburgh meeting will take place on June 23. For more information, visit www.openrightsgroup.org.
