Grampian Police appeal after attack in Aberdeen
Police have confirmed the fire was extinguished in 10 minutes
GRAMPIAN Police have appealed for information after a 50 year-old man was knocked to the ground and robbed of thousands of pounds in an attack in the Cove area of Aberdeen.
The man was walking on Loirston Road at its junction with Loirston Manor at around 10.45am this morning (Wednesday) when he was pushed to the ground by a man wearing a hooded top.
A force spokesman said: “A mid-four figure sum of cash was stolen from him. His assailant is described as being a thin male in his early 20s, wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, blue jogging bottoms and black gloves. After the robbery he is thought to have made off in the direction of Loirston Avenue.
“The victim is thought to have suffered only minor injury. Detectives would also like to speak to anyone who saw him in the area at the time. He is described as being 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, with greying ginger hair, wearing glasses, a brown jacket and black trousers.”
