Google fails to shred Fred Goodwin house
GOOGLE staff attempting to remove images of Sir Fred Goodwin's house have reportedly blanked out his staff quarters instead.
The internet company took action after critics said vandals who attacked the home of the former RBS boss could have staked out his property using the newly-launched Street View.
But instead of removing images of his Grange mansion, they instead removed images of a lodge house in the ground, which is reportedly used by staff working for Sir Fred.
Security experts warned that the level of detail available on Street View would allow someone to plan such an attack.
Police are still investigating the attack on Sir Fred's home.
