Glasgow man in critical condition after stabbing

A MAN has been left in a critical condition after being stabbed in the chest in the early hours of this morning.
Police, who are treating the attack as attempted murder, were called to a disturbance at a property in the Gorbals area of Glasgow at around 4.50am.
They discovered a 25-year-old man outside the Old Rutherglen Road address with a serious wound to his chest.
The man was taken to Glasgow Victoria Infirmary for treatment, where he is described as being in a critical condition.
Officers have been conducting door-to-door inquiries and gathering CCTV images.
Detective Inspector Scott McMillan of Cathcart CID said: “Extensive inquiries are under way to establish how this young man came about his serious injury which has left him in a critical condition in hospital.
“We do know that there was a house party in Old Rutherglen Road on Friday evening into Saturday morning, and I am appealing to local residents in the area to contact us so that we can find out what has happened and who is responsible for this violent assault.”
