Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games: Rebecca Adlington announced as ambassador
Olympic medallist Rebecca Adlington has been announced as an ambassador for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The swimmer joins Sir Chris Hoy in the role.
She said: “The huge success of London 2012 will only increase the excitement and interest towards the Games, and I can’t wait to be part of the journey to 2014.”
She will help to launch the official mascot in Glasgow on Thursday.
