Gavin Hastings backs bid to unseat Chancellor
FORMER Scotland rugby international Gavin Hastings has backed a campaign to unseat the Chancellor Alistair Darling.
The former British Lion was today joining Conservative party candidate Jason Rust on the campaign trail for the Edinburgh South West seat.
He was set to meet children around the Meggetland playing fields and voice support for all children getting the chance to take part in outdoor education.
Councillor Rust, who currently represents the Colinton/Fairmilehead ward, said: "I am delighted to have Gavin's support for my campaign and will continue to make the case for outdoor education."
