Fundraisers clock up £5k

TWO intrepid fundraisers who canoed the length of Lake Windermere and completed the Chicago half marathon as part of a year-long campaign in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, have already raised more than £5000 for the charity.

Brian Taylor, from Newington, and Roz Currie, from Leith, also took on the highest peaks in the UK in their bid to raise £6000.

They were inspired by friend Anders Gibson, 33, who suffers from the disease.
