Food award for housing association
A HOUSING association in Livingston has received an Eat Safe award from a national food watchdog.
Trust Housing Association’s Crusader Court development was one of nine West Lothian food providers to receive the Food Standards Agency gong, which recognises high food safety standards.
Environmental health officer Nicola Esson presented the accolade to the catering team.
She said the development has shown an “extremely high level of food hygiene” which has been identified through the “rigorous inspection schedules”, and means staff are now “part of a very elite group in West Lothian”.
Trust Housing Association is a national provider of specialist housing designed for older people and operates throughout Scotland
Phemie Forder, manager at Crusader Court, said: “All of our staff strive to achieve a high standard of food hygiene and receiving this award demonstrates that their hard work is paying off.”
Trust Housing Association catering manager Charles Chisholm said: “This is a tremendous accolade.”
