Flasher exposes himself for fourth time in single month
A SERIAL flasher who has exposed himself to teenage girls in at least three separate incidents in the last month has struck again.
The latest incident took place at around 6.55pm on Tuesday as a 15-year-old girl was making her way home from the Lasswade High School Sports Centre.
The girl had just entered McLean Place in Lasswade, Midlothian, when a man ran past, overtaking her, before exposing himself.
Detectives believe the incident is linked to previous public indecencies in Mayfield and Gorebridge last month, and are eager to hear from anyone who can help trace the man responsible.
The force has stepped up patrols in areas around schools as the hunt for the flasher continues.
The suspect is described as white, 30 to 40 years old, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall with a medium build and short-cropped or shaved brown hair. He was wearing a dark tracksuit.
Detective Constable Jamie Gilmore, from Dalkeith CID, said: “We believe the same person is responsible in each case because of the similarities in the descriptions given by witnesses and his behaviour.
“There is nothing to suggest that his behaviour is going to escalate, but that is always a concern.”
