Firefighters tackle house blaze

Fire crews were called to the blaze at Royston Lodge near Livingston

FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze at a house in West Lothian.

Crews from Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at Royston Lodge near Livingston at around 9am.

They were still in attendance at 11.30am as they worked to bring the fire under control.

The A89 had been closed off between the bottom of Deans Road and Dechmont as a result of the blaze, but was re-opened just before 11.30am.

A fire service spokeswoman said there had been no casualties.
