Fill in the clues to win signed limited-edition Oxfam book
OXFAM shops in Edinburgh have launched a cryptic crossword competition and are offering a signed, limited-edition book as the top prize.
Ox-Tales is a collection of short stories written by 38 of the UK's best-known authors, including Edinburgh-based Kate Atkinson, Alexander McCall Smith and Ian Rankin.
The limited edition comes as a four-volume box set in a once only run of 150 numbered copies, and the first prize has been signed by all 38 authors.
The Oxfam crossword, which has been compiled by crossword creator Donald Ross, is on sale for 1 at the charity's shops.
The deadline for entries is 30 June and the winner will be announced at the official launch of Ox-Tales in the Capital on 10 July.
Andy Crosby, manager of Oxfam's Morningside bookshop, said: "Cryptic crosswords are a great way of getting your brain working. I'm sure there are plenty of people in Edinburgh who are crossword fanatics, and this one gives you the chance to do one and help a good cause."
