Fashion chain branch closes

FASHION chain Republic is to close its Fort Kinnaird branch after the company plunged into administration.

The store currently employs 19 staff, and is one of five across Scotland shutting down.

Administrators said the decision was based on the branches’ recent performance and rent charges. Hunter Kelly, joint administrator, said: “It is regrettable that we have had to schedule these store closures and we are extremely grateful to the employees and management for their loyalty and support.”
