Fancy appearing in superhero movie? It'll be just electric . .
A FILM company is offering people the chance to appear in a new superhero movie which is due to start filming in Edinburgh early next year.
Restalrig-based Strange Boat productions is looking for ordinary people to invest 500 each in its new movie Electric Man, in exchange for an appearance in the film, an invitation to the premier and regular updates on the movie's progress.
The story follows two 20-something misfits as they stumble upon a rare copy of Electric Man Issue 1 in the local comic book shop, only to find themselves entagled with a Glasgow heavy, an unhinged American collector, an untrustworthy love interest and Electric Man himself.
The film is produced by Ellen Jackson, best known for producing the BBC series Coast, and directed by award-winning David Barras, winner of the Euroscript Screenwriting competition.
The team hope to start shooting at various locations around Edinburgh, including Deadhead Comics, in early 2010
