Ethical gifts are fair game at city market

CHRISTMAS gifts that don’t cost the Earth will be on offer at an ethical fair
being launched in the Capital tomorrow.

The Ethical Christmas Fair is the UK’s most popular ethical Christmas retail event, with more than 35,000 shoppers attending in 2011 despite the poor weather and tram works.

The week-long fair provides shoppers with a Christmas that benefits not only their friends and families but also people who make the products in the poorest countries across the world.

And this year organisers promise to have something for everyone, with everything from eco-gadgets to Fairtrade chocolate, fashion, jewellery, accessories, cushions, toys, hats and gloves on offer.

The Ethical Christmas Fair will be held on Castle Street between 10am and 6pm from Saturday, December 8, to Sunday, December 16, with exhibitors coming from as far Bali, Zambia and Kenya as well as across Scotland.
