Elderly woman dies in Cambuslang tenement fire

An ELDERLY woman died following a fire at a flat in the early hours.

Fire crews were called to the property in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, shortly after 1:30am yesterday. Six firefighters using breathing equipment entered the flat and put out the flames, but the woman’s body was discovered during a search of the property.
