Egypt show is given the mum’s rush

HENRIETTA Lidchi, keeper of world cultures at the National Museum of Scotland, was making final preparations to the casing of the mummy of Ankhhor ahead of the opening of the Fascinating Mummies exhibition today.

It features hundreds of treasures from two ancient Egypt collections, dating back to 4000BC.

The mummy of Ankhhor was a priest serving in the city of Thebes in around 650BC, which has never been unwrapped or subject to research.
