Edinburgh Zoo goes green with Eco Week activities

EDINBURGH Zoo is going green as Eco Week kicks off with a host of activities on offer.

The eco-extravaganza will boast a special Eco Trail, for visitors to follow as they explore their way through the zoo, running daily, from 11am-3.30pm.

Green enthusiasts can fill in the trail map as they go and then hand them in at the Budongo Trail to be in with a chance of winning some special goodies, including an Edinburgh Zoo family pass. The Budongo Trail – home to the zoo’s lively chimps – will be bursting with
green ideas on composting, reducing waste and even recycling.

Eco-warriors can then pledge to do their part for the environment, with either a blue or green thumb print.

Activities will take place in the Budongo Lecture Theatre, starting today and running until Sunday, February 17.
