Edinburgh carers set to have their say

THE latest in a series of events to give carers a chance to say how support services should be developed in the Capital will be held on Monday afternoon.

THE latest in a series of events to give carers a chance to say how support services should be developed in the Capital will be held on Monday afternoon.

The city council has embarked on a consultation process and is keen to hear from carers who look after family members, friends or neighbours as it introduces a new action plan.

Monday’s event will take place at Out of the Blue, 36 Dalmeny Road, beginning at 1.30pm and lasting for two hours. It is the third of seven events at which unpaid carers are encouraged to share ideas and thoughts on current care services, meet other carers and discover what is on offer in Edinburgh.

Care champion Councillor Norman Work said: “It is vital that carers tell us their views on what we achieved or what still could be improved.”
