FOUR members of an eastern European drugs gang have been jailed for a combined 30 years and six months in prison.
The Scottish Crime and Drugs Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) seized 2.7 kilograms of cocaine, and bulking agents, from the group, which was estimated to have a street value of £1.2 million.
Detective Chief Superintendent Athol Aitken, head of investigations at the SCDEA, said: “This was a significant quantity of drugs that would have caused untold harm to Scottish communities and I welcome the court result which will ensure the individuals involved are held accountable for their crimes.”
Arben Dumani, 23, originally from Kosovo but now living in in Springburn, Glasgow, was sentenced to 12 years
Albert Memia, 25, and Fabion Ponari, 23, both from Albania, were jailed for 10 and five years respectively and Gjeorgj Pjetri, 30, from Kosovo, received three years and six months.
