Drug misuse team launched
A PARTNERSHIP which will take the lead on tackling alcohol and drug misuse in the city has been officially launched.
The Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership (EADP) was launched at an alcohol and drug recovery conference. It replaces the previous Alcohol and Drug Action Team in Edinburgh.
One of its first tasks will be to develop a local strategy to focus on prevention and education, treatment and recovery, culture change and safer communities.
Peter Gabbitas, chair of EADP, said: "Working together will put us in a stronger position to address substance misuse issues."
