Driver dies 3 weeks after road incident

A MAN has died three weeks after he was involved in a roadside altercation with a white van man.

The 54-year-old was driving a Ford Mondeo westbound on the A8, near Langbank in Renfrewshire, on 7 July when he became involved in an altercation with the driver of a white Ford Transit van.

Both vehicles stopped on the A8 when the Mondeo driver got out of his car to speak with the driver of the Ford Transit.

The Mondeo driver was taken to hospital to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated for minor injuries and released later that day. He was then readmitted to hospital on Thursday July 26 and then died on Saturday, three weeks to the day following the altercation.
