Dog walker is rescued

A MAN has been rescued after trying to save his dog after it jumped over a wall and on to coastal rocks.

The 25-year-old scaled the wall at Marine Drive in Silverknowes to retrieve his three-year-old Doberman, which had hurt one of its back legs.

Firefighters said the man was unable to move the dog and that the pair had to be rescued as the tide was coming in. They said the man was uninjured and able to drive his pet to a vet.
