'Despicable' JFK game is slammed

A CONTROVERSIAL new computer "docu-game" recreating John F Kennedy’s assassination has been branded "despicable" by aides to the late president’s brother.

Glasgow-based firm Traffic, which has launched JFK: Reloaded today - 41 years to the day after the president’s death in Dallas - is offering up to 53,800 for the first person to most accurately recreate the three shots

The product, downloadable from the web, recreates JFK’s last moments and, according to Traffic, challenges players to help disprove any conspiracy theory by recreating Lee Harvey Oswald’s shots from the the Dallas book depository.

David Smith, a spokesman for Edward Kennedy, said the Massachusetts Senator’s office had received calls about the game.

"It’s despicable. There’s really no further comment," Mr Smith said.

He would not say whether the family was taking any action to stop the game’s release.

Traffic said it was determined to promote the game respectfully.
