Deacon goes back to uni

Former Scottish Government cabinet minister Susan Deacon is to take up a new post with Edinburgh University.

Her role will be to encourage greater collaboration between the university and policymakers, business and industry.

The new part-time post of assistant principal corporate engagement will look at commerical issues. As an honorary professor at Edinburgh since 2010, Ms Deacon has worked closely with the university on many projects.
