Da Vinci rapist could go back to jail over ‘breach’

Edinburgh Sheriff Court

Edinburgh Sheriff Court

Da Vinci rapist Robert Greens could soon be back behind bars.

Greens appeared from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today for a hearing regarding his Sexual Offences Protection Order, which allows police to monitor the 34-year-old.

A solictor for Lothian and Borders police told the court there had been a “fairly major development” as Greens had been arrested yesterday in relation to an alleged breach of the interim Order.

The court also heard “a ministerial recall of his licence” was being considered.

Greens is expected in court again later today for a ruling on whether he did in fact breach his Sopo.

Greens was jailed in 2005 for raping a 19-year-old Dutch student at Rosslyn Chapel
