Cyclists gearing up to benefit from better security measures
CYCLISTS around Leith will be able to park their bikes safely in the area after funding for a number of security devices were granted.
Local community group Greener Leith secured the funds from the Leith Neighbourhood Partnership for 20 Cyclehoops.
The group aims to focus on the top tenlocal places that Leithers identified in a travel survey last year.
The Cyclehoop design has won numerous design awards as it provides a cheap, flexible and easy way to expand cycle parking provision.
Greener Leith is also set to buy two Plantlock-type bike racks as a safe parking facility for cycles.
