Cyclist suffers serious injuries in car collision
A CYCLIST is being treated in hospital after suffering serious injuries in a collision with a car.
The 52-year-old was on his bike near a pedestrian crossing on Bankhead Drive in Sighthill at about 6am yesterday when he was involved in an incident with a Peugeot 307.
He was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, suffering from bleeding from the head, a fractured pelvis and internal bleeding.
Lothian and Borders Police said an investigation was under way.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 0131-311 3131.
Last week, city cyclist Mark Sanderson, 53, died after colliding with a Fiat Panda on the Edinburgh to Peebles road.
