Crews tackle estate blaze

DOZENS of firefighters tackled a huge blaze at an industrial estate in West Lothian.

Fire crews said a large quantity of wooden pallets at the Camps Industrial Estate in East Calder caught on fire, sending a plume of black smoke into the air which witnesses said could be seen from the nearby A71.

Around 35 firefighters rushed to the scene of the blaze after receiving an emergency call at 11am yesterday. No-one was hurt. Police officers were also in attendance.
