Crayfish invader to be poisoned

A CRAYFISH which is devastating wildlife is to be killed off in two ponds at a Highland quarry.

The North American signal crayfish found at Ballachulish Quarry in Lochaber is to be poisoned to stop it spreading.

Highland Council, Scottish Natural Heritage and Scottish Environment Protection Agency are funding the eradication.
