Crash man loses fight for life

A MAN involved in a crash on the A9 nearly two weeks ago has died in hospital.

John Moody, 60, was injured in a collision between two lorries on 16 June.

He died of his injuries at Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

Mr Moody, from Stenhousemuir, was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital but was later transferred.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash.

Work to upgrade the notorious trunk road to dual carriageway is to begin before schedule. The £3 billion programme starts with work at Kincraig, south of Aviemore.
