Counter closed at St Leonard's

THE public counter at St Leonard's police station is set to be closed for four weeks while refurbishment work is carried out.

The renovation work is expected to begin on Tuesday, with police chiefs hoping it will be completed by 27 October.

A temporary counter has been created to accommodate any visitors to the station.

A spokesman said: "As facilities at the temporary counter are limited, however, callers who would prefer to have a private meeting are advised to go to another station."
