Council staff in firing line

EDINBURGH City Council fired more staff than any other Scottish local authority over the past five years, new figures reveal.

A total of 398 council employees were sacked, almost three per cent of the workforce, it was reported today.

A survey found more than 2000 council staff across Scotland were dismissed for a wide variety of reasons, including drunkenness, violence and bullying.

In East Lothian, council chiefs sacked two employees for fighting and one for persistent smoking.

First to get the sack should have been Jennie Dawes, then their Chief Accountant. Between the two of them, they've done a "Fred the Shred" job on Edinburgh

Problem is they fired the wrong ones! If you ever have the misfortune of contacting council officials a common sense is one of individual arrogance, cant be bothered and' we the council tell you what to do'.

Hey #4 keyser soze they canae sack SuBru just yet as she has just landed £26million to spend on buying councillor votes at the forthcoming May election. What a bag of swag she is along with Turley who could`nae run a bath. The pair of them should both get the Bullet when the fireing squad arrives soon.

Why am I reminded of Wallace and Gromit "The Wrong Trousers"?

Perhaps Sue Bruce could sack herself due to gross incompetance whilst holding public office. If gross incompetance was a sackable offence, then the percentage would be a lot ,lot higher.
