Council's town stance backed
WEST Lothian MSP Fiona Hyslop is calling for Linlithgow to remain part of the Lothians region in the next Scottish elections.
She is supporting West Lothian Council, which oppose plans by the Boundary Commission for Scotland to put it in a new East Central Scotland region.
Ms Hyslop wrote to the Boundary Commission, saying the change would not be in the best interests of people in Linlithgow.
Her spokesperson said: "Constituents would be better served in the Lothian region."
