Council hopes Asbo will kill off tenant’s offensive acts
A DISRUPTIVE neighbour who subjected nearby residents to a campaign of noise and foul-mouthed shouting has been handed an Asbo.
David Richmond, 39, was barred from playing music, and shouting and swearing within his flat or common stair at Lochend Road South in Musselburgh after an antisocial behaviour order was granted at Haddington Sheriff Court.
The banning order also applies to visitors attending Mr Richmond’s home.
The court heard how Mr Richmond’s neighbours had complained in the past about his “distressing” antisocial behaviour.
A council spokesman said: “David Richmond has shown little consideration for his neighbours up until now, so he left us with little option but to apply for an ASBO to compel him to stop his disruptive behaviour.”
In May, the News reported how 338 investigations were being carried out in relation to alleged antisocial behaviour in East Lothian.
