Cops in hunt for bite dog

POLICE are still trying to trace a dog which attacked two-year-old girl leaving her with facial injuries.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier had to be dragged off the youngster by a passer-by after an attack which took place at Castlepark Green, Craigmillar, at about 4pm on Thursday, December 20.

The dog, described as heavily built, launched itself at the girl without warning.

The child was taken to Craigmillar Medical Practice where she was treated for a facial cut and scratches.
