Comic book reveals JK Rowling's rags to riches
A NEW comic book biography of JK Rowling features the Harry Potter author pleading for benefits and weeping in a cockroach-infested flat.
The unauthorised life story, entitled Female Force: JK Rowling, also shows the young author partying with friends in Portugal, and scribbling down ideas on napkins, it was reported today.
The comic, which chronicles her "rags to riches" life, has scenes of a young Rowling in a Charlie Brown-style pose with other children outside her childhood home.
Darren Davis, president of publisher Bluewater, said: "She inspires legions of fans and it will be fascinating to follow how many future writers will point to her work as their inspiration."
