City trashed over bin war

THE bin dispute has led to a decline in the number of residents feeling well-treated by the city council, according to latest figures.

A new report shows 61 per cent of residents felt they were well-treated in August and September in their contact with the authority, down six per cent on the previous two months and five per cent lower than the target.

In a new report on the council's corporate management performance, officials said: "This was attributed to issues associated with the refuse dispute."
