City libraries set up e-magazine service

LIBRARY users across Edinburgh are to benefit from free access to a wide range of 70 e-magazine titles on electronic devices.

Library2go, Edinburgh City Libraries’ home for ebooks and audiobooks, has now added the e-magazine service Zinio – giving members access to 77 titles including Hello, Good Housekeeping, National Geographic and Newsweek.

The service will allow users to read full digital copies of magazines for free from computers, smartphone or tablets.

Councillor Richard Lewis, pictured, the city’s culture leader, said: “Around Christmas time I’m sure tablets and smartphones will be high on many people’s wish list and so it’s great that we are expanding the range of content that can be accessed on these popular devices.”
