City Cafe burger challenge beats contestants

A MAN vs Food-style eating contest is to be scaled down after the meaty challenge proved too much – for everyone who took part.

Not a single contestant involved in the inaugural City Cafe Ultimate Burger Challenge managed to finish their meal inside 45 minutes.

Beef, chicken and spicy been burgers make up the seven-storey feast, but chips will now no longer be served with it.

Lauren Donachie, the Blair Street cafe’s manager, said: “In the essence of fairness, we’ve decided to make a few changes.”
