City branch of union group opens

Lothians MSP Gavin Brown has launched the Edinburgh branch of Conservative Friends of the Union during an event in the Capital.

Along with Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson, he set out arguments in favour of Scotland remaining a part of the United Kingdom, before answering questions in front of an
audience at the Eric Liddell Centre, in Merchiston, last night.

Mr Brown said: “The Conservative Friends of the Union is a voice and a vehicle for action for all of us who share the goal of securing a fair, prosperous and safe Scotland within the United Kingdom, and supporters in Edinburgh will play a vital role in achieving our
ambitions for Scotland.”
