Chefs help stir up funds for city memorial
CELEBRITY Chef Tom Kitchin joins Corporal Craig 'Smokie' McCarthy and Sergeant Danny Kay, both chefs with 3rd Battalion The Rifles (3 Rifles) yesterday to help raise money for a city Remembrance Garden.
The event saw Mr Kitchen and the two chefs cook breakfasts, lunches and dinners in an army field kitchen set up outside Tesco in Colinton.
The store provided free ingredients for the event, which will help fund a memorial garden for the soldiers who have been killed during the Battalion's tour in Afghanistan.
