Charities warming up for Meadows Marathon
AROUND 100 charities have been invited to attend the launch of this year's Meadows Marathon, which will be held at the Pleasance this evening.
The fundraising event, which includes a half marathon and 5K race, is entirely run by students, who say they hope to beat previous records and raise 100,000 for local and national charities.
It is the run's fourth year, and charities already signed up to benefit from runners' fundraising include Scottish Love in Action, Four Square and Meningitis Research.
