Charge over carjack bid
A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted carjacking involving a pensioner in broad daylight.
Police said the 60-year-old was left with bruised arms after a struggle with her attacker as she sat stationary in her Peugeot 207.
The incident took place on Leith's Admiralty Street on Wednesday afternoon.
A 27-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
