Challenging the stigma

EMPLOYERS in East Lothian have signed a pledge to challenge the stigma associated with mental illness.

Depute provost Roger Knox and chief executive Alan Blackie signed the pledge on behalf of East Lothian Council, committing to work as part of the national See Me campaign to eliminate discrimination against those with mental health problems.

Councillor Knox said: "The See Me campaign is an important step forward in challenging misperceptions about mental illness."
