Celebration that’s fit for the King’s

FESTIVAL City Theatres Trust chief executive Duncan Hendry was on hand to surprise Joe McFadden with a birthday cake and glass of bubbly at the King’s Theatre on Tuesday, where the actor is starring in Haunting Julia.

The 37-year-old, best known for his roles in Take The High Road and Heartbeat, is appearing at the Leven Street theatre alongside Emmerdale’s Duncan Preston until tomorrow.

Richard O’Callaghan is also starring in the production, which is the first ever UK tour of the critically acclaimed London production of Alan Ayckbourn’s haunting study of grief, obsession and the supernatural.
