Castle’s prize is mane attraction

A LITTLE girl has picked up a special prize in the wake of pop twins Jedward’s visit to Edinburgh Castle last year.

The Irish brothers signed the Castle’s mascot, a giant cuddly Roary the Lion, during their visit. It became the top prize at the attraction’s recent Quirky Quiz for Kids, which was won by eight-year-old Aimee Strang, from Oxgangs.

She will also win a VIP tour of the Castle for her family, including little brother Adam, her mum and dad, and best friend Jenni Thomson, who helped her with the quiz.

Nick Finnigan, the Castle’s executive manager, said: “I am delighted that the quiz was such a success. We will be launching a special royal-themed quiz on Monday, May 28 to celebrate the diamond jubilee and Edinburgh Castle’s strong connections with royalty.”
