Carving out a city show

AN engraver who has pieces in the homes of the First and Prime Ministers has opened an exhibition in the Capital.

Malcolm Appleby, who has an honorary degree from Heriot-Watt University, has lived in Scotland for most of his working life.

The Scottish Gallery, in Dundas Street, said it was “delighted” to host the show, which runs until July 28.

Appleby’s 45-year career was honoured in 2006 at The Goldsmith’s Company in London.
