Car ends up in basement
Four people were taken to hospital after the collision
A CAR ended up in the basement of a city tenement following a collision with a taxi.
The 21-year-old female driver, the 60-year-old taxi driver and his two female passengers, 40 and 11, were taken to hospital after the accident in Chester Street at 10pm last night.
Firefighters had to cut an 86-year-old driver from his car in Meadow Place Road, Corstorphine, around 5.30pm yesterday after he hit a pavement. He was taken to the ERI.
Lothian and Borders fire crews then attended another one-vehicle crash on the A72 in Innerleithen at 10.10pm. The 18-year-old driver freed himself.
