Cancer patients tell how sex life suffers
THREE quarters of cancer patients say their illness has adversely affected their sex life, according to a cancer charity.
A survey by Macmillan Cancer Support found that sexual relationships have suffered either as a direct result of cancer treatment or a resulting low self esteem.
Elspeth Atkinson, Macmillan director for Scotland, said: "Cancer patients have told us the effect of their diagnosis on their sex lives is seldom considered.
"By talking about the impact cancer has on sexual relationships, we hope more will be done to help support patients."
